    Can i link my SKY box up to my PC so i can record some programs. Then i want edit the file into smaller sections.

  2. Yes, you need a capture card in the PC and then connect the VCR out of the Sky box to the capture card (for composite). If you want a higher quality S-Video or RGB connection you need to use the TV-Out connector.

    Get a Skystar 2 DVB PCI card /or similar/, watch free to air and Pay TV channels and record directly into MPEG2 on your PC. The card supports satellite DSL as well.
    Check out www.technisat.com for more info. There are tons of web sites dedicated to this in Europe.
