Can i link my SKY box up to my PC so i can record some programs. Then i want edit the file into smaller sections.

Yes, you need a capture card in the PC and then connect the VCR out of the Sky box to the capture card (for composite). If you want a higher quality S-Video or RGB connection you need to use the TV-Out connector.

Get a Skystar 2 DVB PCI card /or similar/, watch free to air and Pay TV channels and record directly into MPEG2 on your PC. The card supports satellite DSL as well.
