  3. Get the Belight GUI for besweet, it is simple to use.

  4. I find CDex easy to use for VBR settings - set the quality as "--alt-preset ABR", then you can set whatever ABR bitrate you want, e.g. 128kbps. It usually ends up pretty close to what you set it as - i usually get around 115-135 kbps.

I had a feeling that people on this site were telling everyone how to make screwed up AVIs to upload to the internet instead of informing everyone that VBR MP3 is an incompatible audio for AVI and now I have proof.

Way too many people on this site and Doom9 that think they are video experts polluting the internet with garbage DivX and Xvid files.

Maybe someone could explain what they think the advantage of encoding incompatible VBR MP3 in AVI is.
The only reason that I can think that anyone would suggest encoding VBR MP3 AVI is so that they can spend every day of their lives on a video forum telling everyone how to fix them.

Let me repeat this one more time. VBR MP3 IS AN INCOMPATIBLE AUDIO COMPRESSION FOR AVI.

    Really ?

Care to share where "...AVIs to upload to the internet..." is even mentioned ?

The OP doesn't mention it ...

No-one responding to the OP mentions it ...

Methinks you just blindly jumped to that conclusion

Maybe you can explain why you think this has anything at all to do with AVIs ...

    You've secretly got a hard-on for AVIs w/ VBR MP3, haven't you

WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT AVI ?

BTW, there's no such thing as "incompatible audio compression for AVI". Imcompatible, my ass. Any audio is compatible for AVI, provided you have the right muxing tools. VBR MP3 causes huge (known) issues with TMPGEnc products when converting to DVD, but as it stands, it can stay associated with the AVI until the cows come home and PCs and settop players will continue to play it.

As far as I can tell, this is in the audio forum, and talks about an audio file (WAV) to audio file (VBR MP3) conversion. Sounds like a legitimate audio-only question to me. Nowhere do I see the word "AVI" being mentioned at all ...

  10. nhbkid - How's it coming along? Get your audio sorted out? Don't worry about making it VBR - that will work just fine. All the AVIs that I have made use either VBR MP3 or more recently Vorbis and they are flawless.
