  1. just the standalone dvd players that are older don't support vbr mp3 inside avi ?

    or newer ones too ?

    DVD player manufacturers can put in(or leave out) whatever features they want.

  3. It's weird, because AVI container doesn't support VBR audio, only CBR. I don't have a stanalone dvd player, but I know only two people that have one, and all avi's with vbr mp3 are working on their players...

    I don't know where you read that, but it's not true. And every standalone DVD player with DivX/XviD AVI support I've owned (4 or 5 now) has had no problems with VBR MP3 audio. It's all I ever make and is in everything I've ever downloaded.

    My Trekstor Movie Player only accepts/plays CBR....go figure.
