  1. I am having problem buring dvds. I backup the dvd with DVD Decrypter and burn with InterVideo DVDCopy 3 but few days ago i stated getting coasters. but i didn't get any error message. it said burning success / completed. no errors at all. When i look at the disk it only used half of the disk. i can clearly see the line on the dvd. I tried to play the dvd but it doesn't play. I did uninstall/install the intervideo dvd copy 3 but still getting coasters. Everything was fine before. i used the same dvd media and everything.

also tried with dvdshrink ...same result.

my burner is Nec 2500a and firmware version : Herrie 1.08v3-2

    Thanks

  2. Tried burning with DVDDecrypter? Tried changing to original firmware? Can your burner still read original DVDs all the way?

  5. Im not sure, but if you want the newest original i would vote for Original Stock Firmware Binaries ND-2500A 1.07.
Not that i think it helps, but changing firmware back and forth isnt much work, it could be it works
What about other burning software? Did you try DVDDecrypter already? That would be a good idea before change firmware, since you obviously already have dvddecrypter installed.

  6. i tried with nero, dvdddecrypter, dvdshrink, intervideo dvdcopy 3 and i got same result....burn half of the disk...and can't play on dvd player...

    so i think it's a firmware problem....

is it ok to update to fireware to original right? eventho i have cracked version installed....

  7. Original firmware is supported by the manufacturer, so that should be very OK =) Give it a try.

This may sound basic, but are you re-authoring before backing up, i.e. shrinking to fit onto one DVD?
Have you had total success in the past backing up DVD's?

  10. Ok, it reads originals fine. Then its possible your drive is still good. When my nec1300 broke down it stopped reading originals some weeks before it stopped burning. But for how to fix it, i dont know. What about overheating? Cabling?

  11. i just downgraded my firmware to Herrie 1.07 Beta 5 and it's working fine again...so it was a firmware problem
