This may be a stupid question and have probably been answered before but my question is i downloaded a file to which i was able to play on winamp, I want to burn this to a cd-r and everytime i play it on my mp3 player it says no disc or error? I have burned mp3's before to cd-r's without any problem but this particular file, i was able to transfer to winamp but will not record on cd-r, any suggestions? Thanks

  2. It isn't a download from one of the MP3 sites that can only play on the PC that it was downloaded to was it?

I think Microsoft do/used to do that.

No i don't think so because I know some people were able to transfer it to their mp3 player.

I think i got my answer from my other post, since winamp plays mp3 this is in mp3 format and i would need to convert it to wave to burn to disc, easy cd creator does this right? when i look for the file to burn i guess i'll search for the file from winamp? am i right? how do i do this? what i did was when i used easy cd creator i dragged the file from my C drive which was not an mp3 file. Forgive me for my ignorance since i am very new at this. Thanks

  5. it depends on your player, if you want to play it as an audio cd yes it must be converted to wav then burned to cd, if you want to put it on cdr as mp3 and your player can play mp3 like some panasonic then you burn it to cdr as data file.

You don't have to. You can burn an mp3 to an audio cd with either cdburnerxp pro or burrrn, both are free programs.

    Hope this helps.

There are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick.
