Has anybody else had this virus? I have Spysweeper, Zone Alarm and SP2 on my XP computer...so it pretty much alerts me when something is amiss.
I got an alert that this mdgpmu.exe thing was running and so I tried deleting it with Spysweeper...but it came back.
So I found the directory it was in, started in Safe Mode, deleted the file...and it STILL came back!
It seems to launch some sort of popup add at random intervals (but since I have SP2, the popup gets killed immediatly so I'm not sure what it's trying to sell me).
Anyway, did anybody else have this bug? If somebody can help me get rid of it, I'd be grateful.

Hey everybody---
Thanks for the help but I messed around a bit last night and fixed the problem myself.
I checked my "Processes" box to see if anything looked funky and found several weird entries...and a entry for a Buddy.exe.
I did a google on that and found out that will clone itself and the files will have goofy names like mgdpmu.exe or afpca.exe (which is why I couldn't find info on it).
Anyhoo, I found a program to get rid of Buddy and his demon offspring and I'm okay now. Thanks to all that offered help.
Gotta love having SP2, Spysweeper, AND Zonealarm and STILL getting stupid spyware infections by clicking on the song lyrics to "Paradise City." Damn Bill Gates...
