Matt - I use debugmode frameserver ( http://www.debugmode.com/frameserver/ ) with vegas to procoder and it works great..install small executable, then render to the frameserver (it will be added to the list in vegas so you can select it when 'render as')...this will bring up a dialogue that lets you create signpost file..basically a dummy file to the OS that then lets the frameserver feed the vegas file to CCE (in your case)...just let the frameserver finish its setup when you render as (give it a min after you tell it the dummy file name you want to use) then when it's ready to serve (you'll know) then open that same dummy file in CCE and you should be all set...re avisynth, search around here..bugster probably knows..check for posts..good luck!
