  1. I have a lot of divx films I have made over the past few years with my digital camcorder and when I burnt them to cd they played fine in my new divx stand alone DVD player. I recently got a Sony DVD writer and can’t make a DVD of the films.

I am using Nero 6.6.05 with medium quality DVD’s. I drag the files into Nero the same way I do when burning a cd but can’t seem to get a good DVD. I know it’s not the discs as I have used it fine for doing regular ghost images of my c drive.

Is there something simple I’m not doing?

I have heard in the past that Nero is not that good for converting from mpeg4 to mpeg2 but how good is it on 6.6.05 should I continue using main concept 1.4

    I'm confused ... you've got a divx player yet you're converting to mpeg-2 ???

Why not just burn them as data to a DVD, and see if your divx player can play data DVDs ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. The reason I want to convert them is that I have a divx compable dvd player but my mum & dad dont. i do write them as data but am trying again at 4x rather than 8x & will see what happens
