When i try to encode two avi's which are two parts of a movie together, i get "an error has stopped the encoding process". But when i do them seperately it's fine... not sure what's going on, does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I can think of a couple of possible causes. If you are joining them, could be a bad join. Or the two files may differ slightly and the encoder doesn't like that.
Check them with AVIcodec or Gspot to see if you can find a difference in them.
If your destination is DVD, don't join them, just encode separately. The DVD authoring program will set them up to play one after the other, seamlessly, and you avoid the joining problems.
