but the box on the upper right of the screen seems to have gone/ it listed three DVD-rs

the cheapest seemed to be 63 $ the other day, and was in Freemont CA, across the bay

it would be rude of me to suggest to you

You'll find that occasionally Baldrick looks after all of us and turns off ads for those who are logged in. As such, when I go to the index page I don't have any ads ATM. But then I log out, and go to the index page, and whaddaya know ?

    If in doubt, Google it.

Aaah, my fault I thought you were referring to POSTS
for help on Macintosh and DVD-Burners,
not ADVERTISEMENTS, that you wanted specific
information to refer to your friends about use
with the Mac for specific brands of dvd-burners,
NOT that you wanted to know about ADVERTISEMENTS.

    for advertisments, go here:

  8. come to think of it, I liked the little window with the low prices, sort of like a reverse stock market ticker, see how low things are going.

if who ever runs it and places it there reads this, and if its easy to do, why not add the 'low price' of DL media

DL seems to be taking a long time to come down in price, preventing many of us from getting a DL burner.

    just an ideea

    thanks rotuts

    You mean "DL Media" right?

DL BURNERS are at an all-time low, with NEWEGG
    http://www.newegg.com being the tops
in providing the lowest prices on DL Burners.

Really, nothing is stopping you from getting a DL burner.

Faster single layer speeds more than make up for the fact
that DL media is still expensive. I personally don't see the price
coming down on DL Media, until more support develops for
it in the home market, say Settop Recorders being on market
    that can burn DL media...

Yes, it will be just a matter of time,
or you can use Patchburn 3.

  13. is it correct to assume the following:

Patchburn Current allows DVD-rs to work with Mac Apps: burning, iDVD etc

and the firmware updates are either hacks or from pioneer

hacks generally deal with region codes, and maybe burning speed

and pioneer is just burning speed?

this id like to pass along to a friends its been a while since i did the aboce fore the p-107d

    thanks

  14. Pioneer's firmwares often make the drive compatable with new media that has come on the market since the drive was introduced.
