Hi guys. I'm having a weird problem ripping The Incredibles.
When I play the ripped file I lose stereo sound... Suddenly only two speakers work. Very strange. I did a burn and same thing, no surround sound.
When I play the original disc, all 4 speakers work.
I have ripped with DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink, same result.
Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Okay... with Power DVD and DVD shrink I get the crappy audio, but when I play with Nero media player it is surround sound. Maybe something's wrong with my computer. Anyhoo, I don't think it will be a big deal.

There are 5 speakers for surround sound 5.1.
Do you have Dolby prologic? I backed up mine with no problem and didnt we see another topic about incredibles somewhere else? Search the forumsLife is like a pothole, you just have to learn to get around it. -

What I want to know is why arent we having any problem with backing up this movie? Sasha in another incredibles forum https://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t257555.html had a problem with it but didnt give up on trying to figure out what was going on , then Gurm stepped up. So why are people giving up so easy. My tools of choice
are Latest DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink and DVD2one. Use them and your backups will work. Do it now -
Wow, thanks for being so nice about it, guys.
I did a search and saw some posts regarding ripping problems, but nothing specific to the issue I was having.
Like I said, I am now able to play in stereo using Nero, and that's good enough for me.
Thanks -
Like others here, I've ripped Incredibles using DVDDecrypter and compressed with DVDShrink. Burned with Nero to a 4.5 gig DVD-R. I put it in my Pioneer standalone and it played fine. No problems at all. I'd say check your settings when you used DVDShrink. Did you re-author? What did you exclude.
