I believe the Mediatek chipset based players (e.g., I have a Zensonic 330) support both Q-Pel and GMC.

vitualis, are you sure your player could play Xvid file with QPEL and GMC?

Yes.
There is some limitation with GMC, however (2 warp points or something like that).

o, still the problem, but that is a much better reslut.
where did you get it? from internet shopping?
by the way, dose it support dvd-DL?(8GB) -
Yes, I did get it off the internet.
I feel that Zensonic may be an Australian brand, however.
Other distributors may OEM the same player, however. In any case, I believe that DivX/DVD players based on MediaTek chipsets should support both GMC and Q-Pel (and less than 2 consecutive B-frames).

As for DL-media... I can't say. I haven't tried. However, it does read my CD-R/-RW, DVD-R/+R discs perfectly.

it seems like i couldn't get a good player from where i live. Australia is a real good place and produce goods.
maybe after several months, there will have a lot of new divx player with new functions, i'd better keep money right now.
all in all, thank you so much for your explanation. -
