  1. I used mpeg tools within tmpgenc plus and was unable to de-multiplex the vob to extract the mpeg and ac3 audio correctly (it only outputed the first 5 seconds of video to a *.m2v). I was then forced to muliplex the vob to a *.mpg and then de-muliplex that to get only a working *.ac3 file.

I ran the *.mpg through tmpgenc plus and created a 16:9 VBR NTSC DVD (minus the audio). The outputed file contained random non-interlaced frames (lines though the picture) that appear thoughout the video. This problem is only with this outputed video file.

I then ran the 16:9 mpg file and the ac3 file though Tmpgenc Author. It is clearly visible when editing. The outputed DVD video from author shows these lines within random frames of the vob.

Is this line thing normal? Am I doing something wrong? Can you recommend a better software suite?

    Thanks.

You seem have a problem with your URL for that site.

Sorry, I had the same problem.

Maybe: http://www.videoforums.co.uk/guide.php and look for the MPG TMPGEnc guide.

It's the automatic tool link causing the problem, so just disable it:

    If in doubt, Google it.
