I've just rented Million Dollar Baby and it has no extras, how come?
The only other one i can remember in recent years that had no extras was Mystic River.
Is it something to do with them winning Oscars?
Personaly i don't give a hoot about extras, i never watch them but i'm just curious.

I was disappointed with That 70s Show first season dvd. TV show dvds are SUPPOSED to have extras. None whatsoever. Just the episodes. Just english track. No commentaries, not even captions.
His name was MackemX

A lot of bigger movies have a rental release sans extras, then a full blown release with the works. Expect MDB to have a future 2 disk special edition release.
Clint isn't anti-extras, as his Dirty Harry releases show. Each of them has retrospective docus with his full involvement.
Both Mystic River and Unforgiven also have full-featured double-disk releases.
Blame the studios for the ongoing need to release the same material over and over again in different formats.
Note LOTR
Intitial release 2 disk theatrical
Follow up release 4 disk special edition extended version
Follow up 5 disk special extended edition with figurine and extra disk
Follow up 6 disk box set (re-release of theatrical versions as single set)
Follow up 12 disk boxset (re-release of special extended editions as single set)
Just wait for the super special HD extended editions . . . . . .Read my blog here.
