I have a AVI video of 650 MB where the sound follows the video with a 8 seconds delay throughout the video. How can I fix it ? I tried Virtualdub but the outcome is extremely huge, could not count how many GB !

Is there an easy way to sync audio and video ?

sounds like you resave the video wrong if you are just trying to sync the video select direct stream copy from the video menu, this makes and exact copy, you probably were resaving a new video uncompressed.creating a verry large file.you cannot due a direct stream copy if you apply any filters.direct stream resaves the video with a different frame rate to sync audio. 8 seconds is a big gap sounds like a film rate vs. ntsc.had that happen last week, good luck

  4. No, there is no easy way.
In virtualDub click Video->DirectStreamCopy. Then the file will be 650 MB again. The default is Full Processing which give you uncompressed video that is huge in size.

Give Videoredo a try! You can manually adjust audio/video sync.

As suggested, make sure that Video->Direct Stream Copy is selected. In Audio select Interleaving. Don't change any settings except the Delay. Enter the amount (posative or negative) in ms that you need to correct by. Save the results and test.
