Is it possible to get a Quicktime movie trailer to play on a mobile device?

I have a nokia 7610 and it supports 3GPP, RealMedia, MP4, AAC. I ran it through TMPG express but it wouldn't recognise any of the converted files. I tried the crazy little Japanese program for AAC's I found on here but no joy.

    Any other ideas?

Depends what is in the mov. If it was ASP MPEG4 video and aac audio then you could just remux to mp4. If it was say sorenson video then you would need to re-encode.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

How do I find out what type of mov it is?

I don't mind the encoding, but what tool would I need? The other I tried was 3gpconv.

  4. I use Quicktime to convert video to MP4 file, and it plays great on my
    Sony/Ericsson k500i.

You dont need to know what type of mov it is, if it plays in quicktime
you can covert it! You will need to resize it though, something like
    160 x 120

You could try Quicktime Alternative, but I couldn't guarantee that it'd work.
Really, QT Pro is only ~$29 US. Quite cheap considering what it gains you--especially if your going to work alot with MP4 and 3GPP.

Plenty of freeware 3gp/mp4/amr/h263/ASP/etc. freeware apps. Most are commandline though.

Hmm, no I really wont be doing this too often to be honest. I tried the 3gp program available here but it didn't work.

What do you mean by commandline druid?
