I use the Omega drivers, based around 5.2 but faster, and it fixed a couple of graphics glitches that the catalyst drivers had.

  2. I tired them, but I didn't see where they were much of an improvement. However, I don't do any gaming or anything else that would put increased demands on my video card....

I have not updated my video drivers in at least a year. Not broke, not gonna "fix" it.

  4. That's always good advice. I'm a tinkerer, so I usually can't pass it up...

I recently upgraded my GeForce2MX (Dinosaur) with a Redeon 9600XT (not SOTA, but a big step forward). The Catalyst drivers were OK for performance, but cursors were black squares of pixels and other gfx glitches get happening for no good reason. The Omega drivers have worked perfectly, so I'll wait until they release their 5.4 drivers before updating again.

    hehe Cat3.8 & MMC8.8 here
I dont play games on that box, its just working (still) as my PVR, so it doesnt matter what Cat ver is there MMC is more important...

Anyone played with MMC9 lately? like any new features there? Or better VBR bitrate algorithm or something?
