  1. I have a computer with a Pioneer DVR-A04 installed in. I am using Windows 2000 with Nero 6.6.0.8a. I upgraded the computer with a Pioneer DVR-A09XLA. Now when I burn a dvd, it only works on my home dvd. I installed iso-buster, and the discs burnt with the A04, have a iso & udf folders. The discs burnt with the A09XLA do NOT have any folders of that kind. Could this be a firmware bug in the A09XLA ,a bad drive, or a problem with Nero? At this time I do NOT know what firmware revision is in the A09.

You stated that it only plays on your home dvd, what else do you want it to play on? What doesn't it play on? What media? + or - ? Download DVDInfoPro to find out media and drive details. Look your player up on the DVD Players list on the right here to find out what media is compatible with it. As far as I know, only the VIDEO_TS folder is needed, sometimes AUDIO_TS for really old players.

  3. I am using dvd-r disc's, Ritek & Memorex. The discs burned in the dvr-a09xl play in either Pioneer DVD burner, but not in the Lite-on dvd roms. I have a home Pioneer DV-434 and the discs play fine.

  4. Some older ROMs may not play burned discs, the one on my laptop didn't. But that is funny, it plays on everything but your Lite-On. If it will play commercial dvd's, then maybe it just needs a firmware update. Check out - http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php

  6. Hi Lordsmurf,
Well I wanted to get back to you on this one, you suggested to update the firmware, and it did fix the problem. I did not think that the firmware could be that screwed up in a new unit, but I guessed wrong. Now it works great, and THANKS AGAIN!!
