  1. This dvd was badly damaged. I decrypted it excluding one file and used dvd xrescue to save the one file and then I transferred it to fill in for the file I skipped. No regular programs like shrink, or xcopy will copy it. However now that I have it saved to my hard drive with decrypter I can only get dvd shrink to make a 50% compression backup. NO thanks! Any ideas on how I can take my decrypted image and make a two disc backup?
    Thanks

  2. Split to two discs with DVDFab. Freeware version available at:

  3. You can also use DVDShrink->Re-Author->Start/End to split but you lose the menus.

Use DVDFab 0.17. Its the freeware version before DVDfab went commercial. you can serach for the freeware version by google.

Or you can purchase the latest DVDfab.

I have DVDFab 0.17 and use it on certain occasions.

I beleive IFOEdit can also split to 2 disks.

  5. I was able to split using dvdfab, however I couldnt get any further. I seem unable to open them in shrink for burning. Both Disc 1 and Disc2 have invalid or missing files. It seems to be the vob at the point of the split. Using the other advice I was able to Reauthor the files in shrink. That seems to have worked great, its just unfortunate you lose all menus and such. Thanks for the responses. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong with my dvdfab files I would appreciate it. Or perhaps another program that will burn them.
