Hi to all
I am a new user here so excuse me if i go wrong on something
I have a problem
I have a CD/MP3/VCD reader
Now the problem is that i want to know if is a way to convert the *.avi* movies in *.VCD* format but to fit in a 700MB cd.
I want to do all this for my little daughter because i has found some cartoon films for her.
PS:
One of the films is "Shrek2" and the size is 280MB (*.avi* format) and when i try to convert this file for excample with Video Cleaner the size goes to 2.5 GB
So please if anyone can help me i will apreciate very much!!!
Thanks in advance

Try WinAVI video converter, and split it over 2 disks.
You would be better to go to SVCD if your player can play them.Cheers, Jim

If you are familiar with encoding concepts you could also try a more advanced tool TMPGEnc to convert AVI to VCD compatible MPEG1. You would need an authoring s/w like Nero, Easy VCD creator to create VCDs.
When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months. -

The only problem with creating a non-standard VCD bitrate, is that some players simply won't play them.
Still better off to create a VBR SVCD, or standard VCD (if longer than 80 minutes) and span 2 disks.Cheers, Jim
