hi all![]()
im going to go live on xbox soon but i need a really long ethernet cable as my pc is on the top floor which is why i need such a long cable. Can anyone recommend any (UK) sites which sell em or make any other suggestions.
FYI: my 2 pc's are connected via router on the 3rd floor and my tv is on the ground floor hence why i need the long cable.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
thanks
kas
EDIT: ive also noticed that there are wireless adapters availabe, can anyone recommend any good ones?

Hello,
DITTO! Go wireless!!!
I have a dlink Di-524 G router and the official MICROSOFT G adapter for the xbox. The router is upstairs with the computer and the xbox is on the first floor. Works perfectly

so am i right in sayin i would only need to get an xbox adapter and another wireless upgrade card for the router?

Hello,
Is your ROUTER wireless???? If its already wireless than you only need the Xbox adapter. Otherwise you need a WIRELESS router and the xbox adapter.
Linksys makes a compatible adapter for the xbox I believe....

He does not need a whole new router, simply a wireless bridge which he can plug into his router.
