I just installed this card and I'm having some problems with the sound ... big suprise. DVD's, mp3's, and CD's all play fine ... no problems ... TV ... no sound. I've bumped up the volume with no luck.
The card came with an audio cable ... one end I have hooked into the Aux Audio In connex on my SoundBlaster Live 24bit card, the other is hooked into the ASUS card in the only place it can be connected ... a 4 pin connector on the card. I'm stumped. I have an extra 4 pin connector on the audio cable ... should it be connected on the motherboard somewhere?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lu Ann Johnson

Try settingt your capture software to use the AUX on the SB as audio source.
Sometimes there are different settings for different portions. For example, capping from S-Vid has one section for settings, capping from tuner will have another.Cheers, Jim

That's exactly what it was! I had to go into the SB audio setups ... Control Panel >> Sounds and Audio Devices >> Volume Tab >> Advanced >> Properties >> un-check the aux-in option.
I can't believe I overlooked this!
Now ... what the heck is the usb device that came with the card??
