  1. I have purchased some Yellow Datwrite DVD-R's, at the recommendation of a fellow forum member, however I cannot get the right burn speed.

I own the Liteon-IT LDW411SX external DVD ReW/R and have updated the firmware. However, this product should burn at 4x and the media is 8x, but the max burn speed is 2x. Any ideas?

The same happens on both Nero and DVDShrink.

    Thanks for your help

sometimes its a ritek G05 dye, sometimes prodisc 03,but its crap whatever way.the only decent datawrite media is the grey classic 8 speed -R.
that and the writer you have is a firmware pain, some work with some media, other firmwares work with other media, trial and error with that drive.

I cannot believe it! It is crap eh! Someone told me that this media is ok! I looked all over Ebay for this type.

Can you make any recommendations? I will continue to use for now, even though it is slow to burn! I just want a good DVD media that will playback on my Sony NS430! Not much to ask eh!
