  1. Have a problem.. I recently formated my HD so I had to reinstall all the software that I had. I cannot get my Ulead MF to work the same way it did before. Before I could put as much as I wanted on disc just as long as it was converted to mpeg 2 and it didn't go past the line, etc. Now I have a file that is 3.8 gb and when I load the file into MF it goes way past the line into the red. So if I change it to lower quality it goes through a conversion (which I dont remember it doing before) and after it converts for about 3 hours it will tell me afterwords that I dont have enough space on DVDr. The only thing that I can think of is that maybe TMPGENC is not converting it right the first time? It says that it's converting to MPEG2 but that is the only thing I can think of.. Any ideas?

You might want to try putting a empty folder on your C drive....call it whatever you like (mine is called Working Folder) and make sure MF2's "working folder" is your working folder.

Also make sure you have that box checked.....the one concerning NOT re-encoding compliant files?

I think there is a patch for MF2 to correct some size problem. Check the Ulead page for that...

You are asking for trouble patching MF2. The patch closes the AC3 passthru loophole in "Edit Disc" function and maybe the entire program.
