  1. Hi, followed the guide on here about adding subs to a dvd and all went well .. set the colour of the subs to white with a black outline authored the dvd in Ifoedit and then previewed in powerdvd... on the screen the subs appear in a very nasty green colour and changing the colour doesn't seem to help then i get a green box appear and can't see the text have even tested it on a dvd-rw and the same thing happens on both my dvd players.

Anyone know whats wrong ??? my first go at adding subs and its all going horribly wrong lol

  2. set the colour of the subs to white with a black outline
    Where?
The colors of the subs are defined in the ifo file!
    ...and changing the colour...
How have you changed the color?

Edit the subs color table in the IFO with IfoEdit. That's the only way to do it. I bet they are all 00 00 00 (which turns out green).
As you don't know which palette entry maps to which of the 4 available subtitle colors, I suggest setting them all to 00 80 80 (black), then change them one by one to FF 80 80 (white) until you see "body" of the characters turn white. If you thought that was fun, you can go on and try setting the outline to grey like, 80 80 80.
