Burned DVD but "not finalized"...now couldn't acce

OK, I've burned about 70 DVD+/-Rs so far and I've made 3 bad burned, all three instances I got the MSG "Burned Succcessfully at 8X", but then when I tried to read the discs, I got either invalid function or not accessible and using Nero's Info Tool, the discs were all NOT "Finalized", how come...since I only selected "NO Multi session" during all the burns. Thanks in advance for your help/feedback.

Most likely because the burn failed before got to the finalization stage.

Could be bad media, software bug, pc/hard drive not fast enough to supply data at 8x, or you are multi-tasking and using resources needed to burn at 8x.
