  1. I am using the Rockas DVD-RB v0.77 installer version w/ Cinema Craft encoder 2.70 trial. I am using the default settings with CCE set to 6 pass. My finished product shows 30- 80% of the screen with green pixels on it as it plays throughout the entire movie. I have had success with DVD-RB v0.70 w/ CCE 2.5 SP in 3 click mode but cant figure out this problem. Does anyone know where I went wrong?

  2. Did you rip the DVD to your hard drive properly? As in, did you decrypt the disc when you ripped it?

  4. The disc was ripped with the newest version of decrypter. It was ripped to an image and mounted with Daemon Tools. Have tried several discs to backup and have the same result with the green pixels. CCE trial was checked.

    Are you using eclCCE ?
Has it been updated to handle 2.70 ?

  6. As far as I know Rockas v0.77 installer installs and configures eclCCE. CCE encodes the entire movie with out me having to point out the next file in CCE's gui. I just can't figure out the green pixels. Output fiile size is correct also. Sorry about the long reply times, I have no web at home and have to use the office's connection. Thanks to all who have replied so far.

CCE SP 2.70 does not need EclCCE to work.

The CCE NEW path in RB setup must be pointed to the CCE executable (ccesp.exe), not to EclCCE

If I undestand correctly you start having this problem after upgrading to cce 2.70. And this problem is present in ALL backups you have tried since then. Am I right?

Please verify you are using the original CCE 2.70 Trial version (the one that put a Cinema Craft Logo in your encoded video. If not, download and install a new Trial copy from Cinema Craft site (in fact this could be a good idea anywhere, as the copy of your encoder could have a problem)

Other: Have you messed up with the Advanced settings in CCE Options? Your source have just been ripped and nothing else before processing with RB, or have you do some pre-processing?

  8. Yes the problem surfaced after switching to CCE 2.70.

I'm going to try another version and/or a new copy.

I havent touched the advanced settings other than the number of passes. No other processing of the image file has been done prior to loading into DVD-RB. Here is a sample cap of the video.
