  1. Hi there.

I know it is probably way off topic and will probably get moved but I cant find anything about this anywhere.

My daughter has a PC game that she plays all the time but as she is 9 she doesnt take good care of the discs.

I bought alcohol120% so I can put an iso of the game on her computer so she wont damage the discs but I cant work out how to use it.

I have tried making an image of it but it just comes up with a heap of errors.

I suppose this is due to the encrypting?

Is there a way around this or a program that will make the iso?

Like I said she bought the game and I have bought the alcohol120% so it is all legal but I just cant work out how to do it.

  2. i think you can use DVD Decrypter to make an Image file,Then use DAEMON Tools to mount the image to play from,Its like a virtual CD-rom.

It's a little more complex. The help file in Alcohol will guide you through the whole back up process and how to override the game protection scheme.

  6. hmmm that didnt work too well.

I got all these read errors so i cancelled it. I had it as a general protected cd?

Is there a program that tells us what type of protection etc the cd has on it?
