  1. I'm new here, so please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place. But, A friend of mine got a DVD video camera for christmas last year. He doensn't have a computer, so I offered to burn them to DVD+R so he could watch them on his DVD player. Only problem is, when I put the Mini DVD-R in my DVD drive, it won't read it. I get an error measage, "E:/ is not accesable, The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error".

So, what do I have to do to copy the dada from the Mini DVD-R to my hard drive so I can burn them to a DVD+R?

    Thanks for the help.

Most likely the DVD from the camera was not finalized before he gave it to you. If that is the case....the DVD will need to make a trip back to the camera.

You'll need to check out the menu of the camera....although I feel the camera "should" ask you what you want to do with the ejecting DVD when you press eject....but life is seldom perfect.
Finalizing the disc will mean you will not be able to record more to the disc IF the disc is not full and the camera owner would like to fill the disc completely at a later time.
Also...by him finalizing the discs himself....that should allow him to watch the DVD in his DVD Player. This would bypass your work altogether...unless of course his wife is a hottie and she is on the DVD's.....then tell him NOTHING of this conversation....

  5. Ok, I got the camera off of him, It is a Panasonic VDR-M50 And I cannot figure how to get the thing to finalize.

I was thinking maybe I could use the USB cable, but the I don't have a program that will let me use it. And he didn't get it with the camera, so thats out of the question.

So, does anyone maybe have a manual or something on Adobie that they could send me or give me some kind of Idea. Thanks

  7. Just gotten a Panasonic VDR-M50 and trying to finalized the disc with the camera and that was a pain.

Is there any after market software that can capture/finalise the vids without the camera?

Thanks for any help/info in advance.
    I'm a nobody, and nobody's perfect...so I'm perfect!
