  1. RC6 FULL - FORGOT TO PUSH 'AUTO FIT', CAN'T PUSH ON RE-RUN

Ran RC6 and forgot to push AUTO FIT, resulting DVD would be 4.87GB.

Saved project to .S2D file, closed the program, opened by clicking on the
.S2D, hoping to re-run with smaller output but AUTO FIT greyed out.

I'll fix it up with DVDshrink, not a problem, but would have preferred to
be able to push that buttom.

    Comments welcome.

Great product Chrissy Boy, keep up the good work.

    Cheers, P-PA

  2. If you open SVCD2DVD and then open the project are you able to choose 'autofit' then?
I have made the same mistake, but never had a problem making this change following these steps.

Thanks, hadn't tried this before, but in this case it makes no difference - the AUTO FIT button is still "greyed out".

FWIW, the problem S2D file was created like this:

The 1st run was with 2 AVI files, and was well on its way to being finished when I ran out of room on the "target" drive -- about half way thru creating the VIDEO_TS contents. Closed S2D, made room on the drive and re-started S2D using the original .S2D file.

I then deleted the AVI assets, inserted the previously created _S2D.mpg's, dragged those MPG assets up to the 2 titles in the VTS pane and it is that run's [new, different] .S2D file which had/still has the AUTO FIT button greyed out.

BTW - in looking thru the LOG file I see several refenences to SUBTITLES -
looks like maybe the pot is on the stove, cookin' up a new feature -

    Cheers, P-Pa

  4. It's the _S2D.mpg's that are your problem. SVCD2DVD doesn't re-encode MPG files (by design) therefore you cannot autofit them, you need AVI's for this feature.

  5. Many thanks.

That makes every bit of sense. There was a time in my earlier life
when I would have thought of that myslef. Just gettin' too old to be sharp.

    Non-problem is solved.

There was a nut loose on the PC --
