  1. Hi, I am trying to use TMPEGEnc DVD author to create a DVD of an mpeg file I creates. I had a divx file with 5.1 ac3 sound and I ripped the ac3 from the divx and converted the divx to m2v format. Now I know that TMPEGEnc DVD Author can use ac3 files as I have used them before (2 channel ones admittedly) and I have never tried it with 5.1 ac3 files. When I input the m2v file it is accepted, however when I try to select the ac3 for the audio it I get an "Illegal audio format" error. I have checked the ac3 file for errors and there are none. It is a 48000 384kbps file. Why can't Tmpegenc DVD Author see it as a valid ac3 file ?

I recently downloaded a XviD AVI file with muxed 5.1 AC-3 and I used VirtualDubMod to demux the AC-3 but I had to run the AC-3 file through AC3Fix in order to get it to work with TMPGEnc DVD Author.

So in other words I am just trying to confirm what Baldrick is saying.
