  1. I have a new DVD reader with DIVX option (silvercrest) and my question is that I have a DVD with some DIVX movies (downloaded).
Strangly some of the pics are OK, and some are sudddenly in Black & White or with disturbtion (on PC they are all OK).

Does DIVX need to have a exact kind of setting so you can see it on a Player?????

    Any help/advice is welcome.

    Johny

If this question is in the wrong forum, please correct. (and sorry)

    Hello,

Black and white????? Could some of those divx clips be in PAL format on a NTSC player?????

If so you'd have to convert the pal to ntsc to play back correctly. On the pc it would like fine since it can play both formats normally.

  3. Does the black and white bits last for about 1 minute at a time?

Does it happen every 15mns or so?

If yes, then this is correct because you have a dvd screener!

This is supposed to happen with these so don't panic

  4. The DVD player does has a SCreensaver, but I donīt belivee it is the problem.
I have on on DVD about 4-5 movies, some of them are in color, and some of them are just black/white with disturbtion in the picture. Like if your TV cable is bad conected. But on the PC they are OK.
Now the strange thing is that it always happens to the same movies.
So i believe that the fault isnīt the DVD player, and more the codec or something like that. COuld that be?
I have search the web for more DIVX movies and downloaded some videoclips. the same thing there.
My DVD player is a Silvercrest (Bought in LIDL -> Supermarket in Europe)

What "yoda313" says, can make sence, as the movies/clips where downloaded with Emule.
Is there a program, to see waht format the files have?

I will try to set my DVD player on NTSC, as it is put on PAL I believe.

I will come back later this day, with the results

    Thx alot

And a movie which I could find in the stores is for example:
