possible to rip CBT cd's to dvd format?

Is it possible to rip a CBT training video, such as CBT nuggets or Knowlegenet, into a DVD format that can be played on a dvd player so I can watch it on tv? Watching it on computer is boring and i thought maybe if I could get it on tv it may be easier to watch. I believe CBT nuggets uses avi files and knowlegenet uses swf files. Anyone ever done this with a similiar type of training CD? I'll buy whatever software it takes to do it. I have found through searches on this forum that you can rip avi and swf files, but I didn't see any mention of anyone trying to duplicate one of these CBT videos into tv watchable format. Thank you

I think the main problems you would have would be the complex menu structure and branching, and the large number of individual videos.

Also some of these have actual software interaction which would not be possible on a DVD standalone.

But, simply copy each individual video file and convert to DVD-spec Mpeg2 and audio. Create chapter points for one big combined video or seperate menu entries for each individual video.

Then there would be the legal issues involved, I know of some similar products where copyright is indeed granted to the purchaser with certain restrictions, this may not be the case with the products you are using.

I tried last year. The problem I had was getting quality video on DVD. The CBT's I tried was close to 90 hours total, the MCSE series. They have incredible compression to fit all the video on CD. It can be done if you are willing to comprimise the quality. Get yourself a decent video card with TV out and send the video to your TV. It will be cheaper and less time consuming in the long run.

Try anything like Windows Movie Maker, download the trial for Adobe Premiere Elements, or use Nero. They will all allow you to create chapters and menus for the vids.

CBT should have released the video set on DVD to start with. 90 hours in front of a computer screen makes my ass fall a sleep.

I'm gonna be real honest here, if you do not already know how to make menu entries and chapter points, you are not prepared to take on this project.
