  1. I tried to convert a divx movie file to mpeg but i got no sound when it was converted. Its not the first time i have had that problem but then i would just use virtuadub to demux the audio/video and then mplex in tmpge. When i tried virtuadub this time it came up with an error after about 2 seconds of conversion...
has anyone else had this problem???, im goin crazy here....

  2. what program did you try to convert it with? TMPGEnc?

when you open the DivX in VDub and go to file-information what does it say the Audio is? When you did the VDub demux method was the audio on "full processing mode" ?

after that info maybe someone can help

  3. i did use "full processing mode", when i get the file information in vdub i get this:

    sampling rate: 48000
    channels: 2
    Sampling precision: 0
    Compression: frauenhofer
    preload skew:intermediate
    # of frames: intermediate
    min/avg/max total frame size: intermediate

hope this can clear up some things..

I had the same problem yesterday and I fixed it.

I had just reinstalled my PC and I guess I had lost some important Audio Codec.

I just installed Vegas Video 2.0b, Adobe Premiere 6.0 and Direct X 8.0a, I have no ide which one of the Instllations that gave me the codec I needed but now it works.. so I guess if you hare reinstalled recently or uninstalled something. Try putting that back on the system and try again.

The codec I was lacking was the "MPEG layer 3 codec (professional)" And I would guess it came from the Vegas Video installation but I'm not sure!
