  1. First let me say I am new to this and still learning.

My question concerns carture and encoding to VCD and SVCD. Virtual dub hasn't worked with this card, so I have been capturing as Dazzle DV and editing in Adobe 6 and converting to MPEG-1 with LSXMPEG. Whne I try to export to VCD or SVCD compliant, it says my frame rates and setting are incorrect. The only way I have found to make really nice VCD or SVCD is to capture with Dazzle card, edit, then convert to Microsoft AVI and then use TMPEG to convert to SVCD or VCD. These are beautiful, but take days to encode from DV to Microsoft AVI. Can someone tell me an easier or faster way to do this.. Thanks

If by Dazzle DV you mean standard DV video, try encoding the edited file using TMPGenc. It shouldn't take days, and the resulting files are compliant.
