What the heck does this mean?
Isn't this throwing away a lot of information?ATI [Rage Fury Pro 128] opted not to include an s-video connector for video capture as the quality difference between composite and s-video capture is non-existent with the high quality RAGE Theatre multimedia chip.

Sounds like a lot of BS to me. Sounds like they wanted to save money and not include it. S-video provides a better signal over composite, and the quality of the capture is only as good as the quality of the signal.

Where is that a quote from? I don't know anyone at ATI that would say something retarded like that.
If there's no S-video connector, it's because it's either a budget card or there wasn't enough real-estate on the end-plug.
Then again, this is a quotation about the Rage 128, a card that was state-of-the-art in the late 90's! -
