Connect a DV camcorder via IEEE-1394 (firewire) and connect that cam to a TV monitor.

I use an nVidia video card.
When I want to display a preview on a TV I have to go into Display Properites (right click the desktop) select Settings then Advanced. Choose the nView Settings tab and select Clone. I also go into the Overlay Properties tab and select the Secondary display as the full screen device.
Finally, In my editing program, MediaStudio Pro (MSP), I tell it to output the preview to the Dual Head Device (which i assume is the videocard)
I'm recalling this from memory so specific button names might be incorrect.
MSP also lists my DV camera as an option for preview but even with firewire connect I can't seem to get it working. The cam does work if I connect it to the RCA Video Out where the tv would normally go, obviously!
I can "print to tape" but that's after rendering is done and not simply a preview.
Cheers
