Hello, all.... and SOS!
I've had my panasonic dmr-e100h almost a year now, and I fear I just killed it. While in the dubbing screen, I accidentally inserted a DVD that was not blank. While it was in "READ", I went into speed selection, and then it froze, responsive to nothing. Finally I unplugged and plugged it in again, and when it is plugged in, the display just shows that spinning circle like it's trying to read the DVD... and that's all it does. The "DVD" light is on, but that's all. It responds to nothing. Tried unplugging and replugging again, and this time left it on for about 12 hours. Nothing doing, still just spinning.
What to do??
Thanks so much in advance

Try this: press and hold the power button till the machine shuts off. Then with the machine off press and hold "stop" and "channel up" on the recorder for five seconds and release (release both buttons after 5 seconds whether something happens or not) The unit should turn on and eject the disk.

Ann, I don't know where you learned this voodoo magic, but you are a genius! Imagine my shock when it actually worked!
Thank you for saving my machine!
