  1. Hello there,

I am very interested in this player, but before purchasing one, I am concern about the player's aspect ratio. Could anyone who owns a RJ1500 please let me know if RJ1500 displays dvix and xvid files fine on regular TV? I heard from other forums that KISS player has problem displaying many files, as a result the top and bottom of the screen is cropped (including the subtitles!). How is or is RJ1500 able to adjust the ratio manually or automatically? Any inputs are much appreciated.

  2. I have not had any problem in terms of the aspect ratio. I've played dozens of videos with all sorts of aspect ratios and they are all fine with no cropping.

You should consider RJ-800DVX. As far as I know RJ-1500 II can't play Q-pelled xvids [RJ-800 can play 'em perfectly]. And Q-pel feature is usually included in recent xvid movies on the internet.

However, all RJ players have no problems w/ AR.
