  1. Ave,

I've been using TMPGEnc Xpress for all my video encodings. I installed the TMPGEnc Dolby-Digital Plugin for enconding to AC3 audio. But how do i used it?

From what i thought, in the TMPGEnc Xpress, when you're encoding a movie, if you clicked on the "Audio" tab, apart from PCM & Wav, it would give the AC3 option.. but it doesn't.

I do believe i have the TMPGEnc AC3 plugin properly installed.. but it doesn't appear anywhere in my TMPGEnc Xpress during Encoding options. What am i doing wrong? How do i use it? Has anyone had any experience with this?

    Thanks,
    Mickey

In the audio setting, the choice Dolby Digital (AC-3) appears, you can then choose Dolby Digital for output.
I would either uninstall both Xpress and the AC3 plugin, then reinstall both. If that doesn't work try here for more tech support.

    Ave,

I did actually uninstall and re-install both, but it still doesn't work. Is there any sepecifi order of re-install that you may recommend? Secondly, what versions of TMPG Xpress & Audio Plugin are you using? Do you get the Dolby Plugin information appear in the About window?

I'm baffled, i've never had such a problem with something.

    Thanks,
    Mickey

  5. I get the same problem too.
I see "TMPGEnc Sound Plug-in AC3" when I go to Start/Program/TMPGEnc/TMPGEnc Sound Plug-in AC3, but nothing about AC3 appears in TMPGEnc Xpress.

    Any ideas?

Perhaps you have an old version? TMPGEnc Xpress I think needs at least 1.10.

    Ave,

I have Tmpgenc Xpress 1.3 .. it's the latest version.
What order did you install these programs in? I installed DVD Author, Xpress & Then the plugin. Also, do you have to put any plug-in files in the Xpress folder? How does the program know where the plugin is or that it's installed, if they are all in different folders?

    Thanks,
    Mickey
