I tried to use AutoGK to make a 700mb file of King of Queens, but wound up making a 700mb file of just one episode. Got any idea's what I might have done wrong ?

sounds like each episode may have been its own titleset, and AFAIK, AutoGK will inly do one titleset at a time. What I'd do is follow this guide, which should take all the episodes you have and join them together so that they appear as one titleset. Then feed this into AutoGK and it should convert that entire titleset.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. alternatively make individual file for each episode
for 20-25 minute episodes make 175mb ones
for 45-50 minute episodes make 350mb ones

fix width in all episodes i choose 576 but its up to you

if you dont want individual files (cant see why you wouldnt)
they can be joined in nandub

The method I have found useful for handling episodic TV is to first convert the episodes to individual mpg files with VOB2MPG. VOB2MPG will read each title set in the video_ts directory where you have ripped the DVD and make a single mpg for each episode (as well as any bonus featurette). Load the resulting mpg's into AutoGK and select 175mg output size.

The mpg's created by VOB2MPG are also useful if you want to create a "mixed" dvd of favorite episodes from different discs utilizing any of the standard authoring programs.
