I just got a Polaroid portable dvd player, which works great except for one minor problem, the subtitles always come on by default. This gets to be annoying because whenever I put a movie in I have to go and turn off the subtitles. I have disabled captions in the general menu on the dvd player, and also in the other setup menu I've changed subtitles from ENG to OFF, yet the subtitles still remain. I think this means that the subtitles are the ones found on the dvd, and so to turn them off I have to go into the Languages/Setup on the menu and turn them off. Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying problem so subtitles aren't enabled everytime I start up my dvd player?
