Vegas 5:Fly in, zoom out, scan top to bottom still images?

I'm using Vegas 5 and think it's got tremendous potential but I'm trying to mix video files and still images. I know how to do it but I can't figure out how to get the images to pan across the screen. I've been all over the web trying to have it explained and I can't find a thorough tutorial. Any help?

look in the manual for Track Motion controls - they will allow you to move video or stills around the viewer's screen.

it's a little button on the track controls, you open it and set keyframes. for example - you want to pan from left to right in the space of 10 seconds. you go to your starting point in the timeline, add a keyframe, and set the starting position. go to 10 seconds later in the timeframe, set another keyframe, and move the image into the end position using the track/motion controls.

when you preview, you'll see the pan from your start position to your end position.

the manual lays it out pretty clearly - if you still have problems, post later and when I'm at a machine that has Vegas I'll put up some screenshots.

There are free scripts that will do this all in one shot,Just search google.

Thanks a lot - the manual was a big help. I'm just playing around to refine it and make things a little smoother but it looks promising. Thanks again.
