the two ways i usually make dvds are using ulead video studio 8 and dvd it 2.5. when i make a dvd using either one they don't play in all the dvd players in my house, for instance if i burn a dvd with dvd it and it'll play in my xbox and my sony dvd player but not my panosonic dvd player. and if burn using ulead it'll play in my two dvd players and not my xbox.
is there something i'm not doing? i know my dvd players are compatable with dvd+r so thats not the problem. maybe you guys know another program that would be better?

Have the program write out to a folder of files. Usually you get a VIDEO_TS folder with a bunch of files in it (IFO, BUP, VOB, etc.)
Then use the classic version of ImgTools to create an ISO IMAGE FILE
Then burn the ISO IMAGE FILE with DVD Decrypter
That's about the most compatible way to burn a DVD assuming the problem is with the burning and not the authoring.
