  1. Why for some *.avi files in my Philips 642, I can't fast forward on them? Why does it only happen for certain files and not others?

    Thanks in advance!

  5. It is related to disc quality (I got this directly from Philips phone support).

Try burning a short (~1MB) file last on the disc, like a small MP3 or something, so it's burned *after* the main movie and right before the leadout groove (if your burning software lets you do this). Doing that cured all my FFW/REW issues.
