  1. HI I have 2 mpeg files each 1.8 gig each. Iv just ran them both through tempgenc to convert the mpeg to super vcd format now done after a few hours.

I then loaded the files into tempgenc DVD author. As what I was after was 2 SVCD's on one dvd with a menu to play the one u want etc. But tempgenc didnt like doing the svcd's as they were wrong resulution for dvd.

So I tried VCD easy, and that told me the files were far too big.

Is there a prog I can use to load the 2 1.8gig files into to make a svcd dvd and added extra of a menu?

  4. Quick question I think this seems to work for me

Temgenc 3 Convert mpeg to SVCD

    1-SupverVCD2DVDmpeg or
2-Maincopcept MPEG encorder to create dvd compliant mpeg. Could I skip part one and just use 1 or 2?????
Opinions on which is better for 1 or 2?

Tempeng DVD Authar to create Structure and Menus

Nero to burn new created structure.

    Any floors in this?

  5. As one of your earlier replies said, NOTHING can beat DVD-Lab for adding svcd to dvdr. It will automatically demux the mpeg's to elementary streams for you and resample the 44khz svcd audio to dvd compliant 48khz audio. You can also set as many chapters as you want and the menu you can make is only limited by your own creativity. Download a demo version and give it a shot.

I use dvdpatcher to trick tmpgenc dvd author into accepting svcd mpg files, then i patch them back to 480x480 before i add chapters, works great and plays on my nexxtech dvd player and pstwo.

  7. On using Dvd-lab i find that the dvd produced has no sound? Tried playing in power dvd too, it did transcode etc as per guide :S.

  8. Did DVDLab transcode the audio?
Did you load the audio from assets into the movie's audio track?
Did you test compile with "dummy movies" to see if it's got audio?
Did you test burn on a DVDRW so as not to waste a blank?
If you trimmed the end of the movie(s), did you re-add the audio track to the movie?
Are you sure the mpegs that tmpgenc put out actually HAVE audio?
Do your original files have audio?
What type of audio are you trying to work with?
