  1. I'm using the ffmpegx version 0.0.9s r6
    It's a great app but I have a problem.

When I convert an avi to DVD ffmpeg it works great played on my computer screen.
But when I put it into my DVD-player (Pioneer DVR-520H) the transitions between different scenes get "big squares" and it seems that the player cannot really keep up with the tempo or whatever the problem might be.

I've tried converting using different parameters but I end up with the same problem.

So how can I convert successfully so that my DVD-player plays the frames with no "squares" ?

  2. Your player is possibly picky about ffmpeg bitrate control. Please try again with mpeg2enc and check if it works properly on your player.

  3. Thanks for a prompt answer.
I'll give it a try and then I'll let you know.

  4. I have now tried your tip on two avis and it now gives me absolutely perfect DVDs !

Thanks for a great tip and a wonderful application.
