i used after effects. i mean those special transitions like this square where the new scene comes in... those normal crossfades are no problem... i just need some ideas for special and different transitions...

    thank you

  4. crossfade, cubespin, cross zoom, etc...Have you tried the Gradient Wipe transition? (if your editor has it), I have used it with Premiere for years, you need to add the textures and images, but they can look quite cool and render as fast as a normal disolve. ThereŽs a commercial package named Video Spice Rack (by Pixelan) but you can find many free textures for the gradient wipe transition around the net, from very organic shapes to geometric ones and you can customize them even more softening or hardening the image(at least in Premiere you can), the result can be from very subtle to really crazy
(altough IŽd suggest more than special transitions to improve your video, wich by the way is not bad at all)

So you did this rather slick video as a one off and can't remember how you did it ? Have you considered seeing a neurologist for this memory problem you have ?

Most of the interesting transitions in that video required utilising the location and camera moves. Not the sort fo thing you just come up with out of thin air. You need to know where and what you are shooting, scout ahead of time, and plan accordingly once inspiration strikes. None of the interesting transitions in that clip are the pre-packaged variety.

But of course you know this - it's your clip.

Can it be done with two cameras ? Maybe.

Will it look like crap ? Certainly.

You might be able to get away with 6 - 12 stills and some clever camera projection in a 3D tool or AE.

Or you could go with something a little simpler : http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/time_freeze/
