  1. Hello,
Im having a problem burning an MPEG to a working VCD. I was using nero 5.5.5.1 and have upgraded to 5.5.6.4 and have the same problem. Im using Win XP with a TDK 16/10/40 Burner. My DVD player is a JVC XV-S65. I burn the MPEG by using the exact method described on this site but it wont play in my player. When i put the disc in my PC, it says that it only contains 2.65 MB data. But when i actually open the folders inside and look at the .dat file it says it is 615 MB. This makes no sense to me! The cd has been burned almost all the way out, so it is obviously writing the whole movie. Im not extremely expierienced in VCD making but i have made working ones before and i have no idea what im doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a bunch....

  2. maybe your dvd player wont play vcds on cdr. i burn vcds with nero version 5.5.4.0 (the one that works good) and they play fine in my dvd player, although when i put them in my pc cd-rom it also says that the cd only cantains 1MB - 2MB of data. sometimes windows has a problem recognizing certain file extentions, and wont count the date.
