    Anyone know if the LVW5005 can be "updated" to record in a 90-minute mode (or about 6500kbps)? Or if there's a way to specify a bitrate?

    Nope, the only firmware hacks are macrovision removal and LP mode, but I think the 5005 already has LP.

    My version did not come with a 3-hour mode (I'll add it if I need it).

    But I would rather have a 90-minute mode (or to be able to tweak the capture bitrate to about 6-7mbps). Anything in the works for adding this functionality?
